There have been some pretty big milestones in our home this past month too. Our little Ollie celebrated his fifth birthday (in Star Wars style) and started school. I was a teary mess the months leading up to his birthday, but by the time he turned five and started school I was more than ready for it!

So here's some photo updates from the past month or so...
Thanks for sticking with me to the end of this photo update. I can't believe it's November next week! We'll be celebrating our second wedding anniversary and from therein it won't be long before it's Christmas. I'll post back with some Christmas sewing updates (hopefully in the next week - but don't hold your breath waiting!).

Happy sewing!

If you're new here - thanks so much for popping in - please make yourself comfy and take a look around!

This quilt has it's own story. It's a story I've never shared here because it was waiting for a happy ending. This year, the story got a happy ending so I think I am about ready to share... I want to say though that this post isn't about receiving sympathy, it's a post about a quilt, about finding strength and about making the right decions for yourself.

So like all stories, the best place to start is the beginning. My name is Lara and I was raised in a very loving Christian family. My parents worked very hard to raise my older brother and I. My father worked on average 70 hours + a week while I was growing up to provide a nice home for us and to put good food on our table. My mother worked very hard too and I am grateful to them both for many things.

My Christian upbringing has definitely cemented a lot of values and principals that I am trying to teach my own children, but a few years ago I chose not to follow a particular religion anymore. This broke my parents hearts and shortly thereafter I learnt that my partner and I were expecting our Oliver.

My parents found this particularly difficult to understand and while I know this wasn't an easy for decision for them at the time, they felt that their only option was to have nothing to do with me and my growing little family.

It wasn't easy, but I was lucky to have a very supportive and loving partner with a very large, loving and supportive family. During this time I learned how to stand on my own. How to listen and be guided by own voice and how to be a mother and partner. I realised that friends are the family we pick for ourselves and that by surrounding yourself with good people, you can create a circle of love.

I also learned that there's no family quite like your own and while I desperately missed my parents and my older brother, the most important lesson I learned was to change what you can change and to live my life the way I wanted to with my family. We added another son and got married, travelled and had a lot of fun.

Of course that didn't stop me thinking about my parents often and in my head I decided some years ago to make my parents a quilt a for their 40th wedding anniversary. In 2009 I made them this little runner for their 36 wedding anniversary which I entered into my first ever bloggers quilt festival. I've always been very proud of their marriage and happy that after many years of being together, they still love each other. When I saw this quilt kit by Fig Tree Quilts I thought it was perfect. So I ordered it. It was a layby arrangement - the first payment was made in December, the second in January and the third in March when it was finally shipped.

A month after ordering the kit, I needed to contact my mother to find out about my family history and medical conditions upon the request of a specialist... this led to a phone call (the first in many years!), a few text message exchanges, and ultimately a meeting in late January to forgive and move forward. My parents finally met my children (then aged 4 and 2) and they've been happily involved in their lives ever since.

Even though their 40th wedding anniversary isn't until next year, I decided to make the quilt for their 39th wedding anniversary instead. It just seemed to be the right time and thing to do. So earlier this month I posted the quilt to my parents with a few other gifts from the boys. Fortunately, my mum loves the quilt and it's happily residing on their bed.

While I made the quilt I thought about all the things my parents had taught me and how they shaped my life. I thought about the good things and the bad things and the kind of mother I want to be to my boys. While my parents probably still don't completely understand the decisions I made and I don't completely understand the decisions they made, I am glad that we have got to a place in our lives when we realise what's important and can move forward.

So there you have it! I told you this quilt had a story of it's own, and if you managed to make it to the very end of this post thank you. Hug and love your family and your friends always.
So this is the post in which I prove I have been productive. I have been working hard to finish up some works in progress this year and set myself a goal to use up as much of my stash as possible.

I finally made a proper start and finished the quilt top for Ollie's Single Boy quilt. Last year, I cut out the templates and a few of the letters, but stopped to work on Christmas presents and never quite made it back to finish this quilt. This will be one of Oliver's gifts when he turns 5 next month. The backing is a grey print from the Little Apples line.

I had assumed that this would be a difficult quilt too, but I am pleased to say that sewing those arcs and the curves was not as difficult as I thought it would have been. I was able to finish this quilt top up in about a weeks worth of sewing in the evenings and I would definitely encourage others to try this pattern. I have another matching quilt to make for Oliver's bunks and another Single Girl quilt to make for my SIL and I am really looking forward to making this pattern again!

This is actually the backing of the quilt below. I really didn't want to have to buy any fabric, so I chopped up a bunch of FQ's I purchased last year and a panel, added some left over squares from the Philatelic Society and voila! the backing was complete!

Here's the front... This quilt was also started last year (bit of a theme going on!). I started this around the same time as the Philatelic Society, and by the time I finished that quilt I'd had enough of looking at the Look and Learn fabric. Shameful I know. So this quilt sat in my WIP container unloved and untouched for a LONG time. In the end, this quilt also came together rather well. I finished chopping out the triangles and sewed my half hexies together, then once the quilt was laid out as I wished, it didn't take too long to turn the half hexies into rows and then the rows into a quilt top.

This probably is my most favourite quilt I've made to date.

And finally, a project started this year! I finished up this quilt top the other night (it needed two extra rows). This quilt will be used in our room in the winter months. I am just trying to decide what colours to do the back. I am going to buy some Kona solids.

So there you have it! Proof that I have been sewing! I have shared each of these quilts while they've been in progress over on Instagram. My name is lpsimpson if you want to find me :) I seem to share more regularly there than I do here (and there's quite a few pic's of Pepper too!).

Hopefully soon I'll be able to share these quilts in a finished state (not just quilt tops)! In the meantime, I've started working on another quilt of which I will share here soon. It's a very personal quilt top and I am looking forward to sharing it's story with you.

Until then, happy sewing all! x

After many open homes and lots of real estate agents we finally had a place to call our own. A home.

I shared some pictures of the house (before we moved in) way back here. I thought it would be fun to share some updated pictures with our things as we continue to make the place ours. There's lots of space on the walls still and I am looking forward to filling it with art and things. Call it a work in progress!

First room on the home tour is our room. The master bedroom.
Holy Moly! And a Winner!Well that went fast! In fact, I am positive I may have misplaced a week or two... Pepper has arrived and is growing like a bean.

She's growing a heap since we picked her up from the airport (above) and is full of beans. I can't wait for the mouthing to stop, but all in all she's a good girl - eats well, sleeps well and she's very good at doing her business outside! Needless to say, I've been juggling lots of housetraining and children and work and housework and family and sewing and... I've come to the conclusion that there's not enough hours in the day! I recently lamented this to a colleague who suggested I "sleep less"... but I'm already doing that too! On average I get maybe 6 hours (at most) sleep a night (not always end to end either!)...

Hmm. Anyway. I *still* haven't taken a photo of the prize, but I can tell you it's one of my AMH voile scarves and a Little Apples charm pack and a few other sewing notions.

Thanks for all your comments. I loved reading about how many quilts you'd made and how long you had all been quilting :) So... the winner is: NUMBER 5! Woop Woop thanks Mr Random Number Generator!

Congratulations Miriam! Love that this prize is going to another Kiwi!! I'll flick you an email :)

In other exciting news, I am working my way through my works in progress pile! More on that soon! Until then (and it could be a while!) happy sewing everyone and thanks again for all your lovely comments!Larahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01042439506901561443noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1230364353761412982.post-55977746180893737742012-07-07T20:12:00.001+12:002012-07-07T20:12:43.968+12:00Ummm Say What? A Blog Anniversary GiveawaySo it's been three years since I started this wee blog. It sure has gone by so very quickly. During that time I have made a bunch of quilts. More than I would have thought was even possible! I had to go back through my Flickr stream and old blog posts to count more than 35 completed quilts and table runners! Wowsers. I won't add up the cost associated with those finishes!

Here's a few of my favourites...
A crafty exchange - 1 quilt for 2 gorgeous knitted jackets for our wedding... (2010).

These 3 quilts bring my total of finished quilts year to date to 9!!! Woop Woop! And... I have been working at finishing up a few other projects too! I have one more quilt waiting to be quilted and another top requiring two more rows! Once it's completed, I plan to tackle Oliver's Single Boy quilt and hope to have it finished in time for his fifth birthday in September!

And in other news, Pepper arrives in 5 sleeps! One handful! I hope to whip up a welcome quilt between now and then for her too - so I had better get sewing.

The quilt when straight from the finished pile to his bed and I'd been waiting for a sunny day to take a few pictures.

With our new backyard and lovely deck, I finally have some nice places to take photos! The quilt pattern is Swoon by Camille at Thimble Blossoms. I bought the PDF version for instant gratification :)

The fabric is Children at Play in the Over the Fence colourway by Sarah Jane for Michael Miller. I can't tell you enough how much I love this fabric. I first posted about this quilt here... and here.

This quilt is one of the biggest I've made. Perhaps the biggest! I procrastinated for quite a few months but once I got back into the swing of making these swoon blocks, the quilt came together very easily. There was one block in this quilt that I had considered making again... but once I put it with all the other blocks it looked right at home.

The all over quilting is a kite edge to egde design. It suits the quilt a lot and I am very happy with it. The binding is Racer Stripe in orange. I still have enough fabric (and backing fabric) to make another quilt. I contemplated making another swoon... but I've decided to make On a Whim (also by Camille!). That way the quilts will be similar but different. That will have to wait though! I have another quilt top waiting to be finished (my Innocent Crush charmed quilt) - it just nees a few more rows.

Once finished, I need to get cracking on Oliver's Single Boy quilt(s) in Little Apples. I am hoping to have one finished for his 5th birthday in September. And the other by Christmas! I also have another quilt kit I'd like to finish up by October. But right now I am arrested by our local sheriff and his deputy for stealing kisses. I am about to get cuffed... I hope they'll let me sew in prison ;)

I didn't really get any decent photos of the quilt in between finishing the quilt and posting the quilt.

I called this my Sweet 16 quilt for Wendy. Wendy has been a part of my life since I was 7. I asked her if she would be my grandmother. My mother's mother lived far away, and my dad's mother died when I was 3.

Wendy's been such an amazing source of support since that day and over the last few years she has knitted my boys dozens of lovely jerseys and toys. It felt nice to finally give her something handmade.

This quilt design is very economical. It used only half a jelly roll and some yardage for sashing and borders. I have enough Buttercup jelly roll strips to make another for the DH's nana (she'll be celebrating her 80th birthday in January).

Wendy and I are almost birthday buddies. She's the day right after mine. This quilt got to her just in time and it's been on her bed ever since :)

The quilting is a pretty all over petunia print. Wendy phoned me to tell me she absolutely loved it. It is her very first quilt. I felt quite privileged to have been the first to make and give Wendy a quilt.

Here is Wendy (and me). I got to spend some time with Wendy last weekend when my DH was sick in bed while we were away in the Hawkes Bay. She's just lovely! While I was there I asked if it would be ok to take some pictures of the quilt. Wendy happily obliged :)

Meet Pepper. She'll be joining our little family in < 3 weeks. I can not wait :) In fact, I am definitely more excited than the boys!! Expect to see lots of puppy photos in the coming weeks!

And for those enquiring minds, Pepper is an English Pointer. In this picture she's 5 weeks old. She was the sweetest, quietest pup in her litter. Very gentle and calm which is exactly why I picked her!

Do you think it would be wrong to make the puppy a welcome home quilt? I think the DH might commit me if I did :) Oh, and for my readers with puppy experience, any puppy tips will be gratefully received! I feel like a new parent again!Larahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01042439506901561443noreply@blogger.com10tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1230364353761412982.post-90375469146422064522012-06-17T21:06:00.000+12:002012-06-21T21:49:11.042+12:00Destash Sale! Grab a bargain :)When we moved in March, I have to say I was a little surprised by my fabric stash... It somehow had grown quite significantly throughout the year and I had to come clean with the DH that yes, perhaps a few more parcels than I'd fessed up to had arrived and migrated into the spare room...

That said, I decided it was high time I had a sort through my stash... all the more so now that we're looking to get a puppy in the coming weeks. With the pitter patter of impending paws, I am destashing some of my fabric to help fund all the little bits and pieces we'll need :) Some of these bundles will be very hard to part with, but I know little Pepper/Annie (we're yet to settle on a name for sure) will definitely be worth the sacrifice!

Please note postage is from New Zealand and shipping will be combined for multiple purchases. There will be a few more items listed in the next few days too :)
Especially when you have a bundle of small babies (yet to arrive) to sew for! We have three friends expecting their first baby's in the next month or so. It's always nice to give a handmade gift for little babies.
I've had this Monkey n Round fabric sitting in my stash since 2008. In fact, this is the first fat quarter bundle I ever bought.

In July 2009 (ahem...) I intended to make these into a quilt for Oliver. It never did happen. Instead, he got quilts made of Bot Camp and the monkey charms sat for quite sometime.

In June 2010 (what?!), I attempted to make a quilt for Oliver out of the charms again... but once again, it didn't really inspire me. So the four blocks sat unfinished until now. I made a few more blocks, and this little quilt top measuring 40" x 40" was complete!

I then chopped up the rest of the blocks from 2009 and after toying with a few different patterns, I decided to make another of Elizabeth's Hartman's from Oh Fransson Charm Square Baby quilt which is a free tutorial here. I first made this quilt in 2010 for my nephew Shaun.

I enjoyed making the Monkey quilts so much, that I decided to make up a Bliss charm pack into a sweet quilt perfect for a baby girl.

So there you have it! 4 easy peasy baby quilts! I attempted to use my walking foot to quilt one of the monkey quilts, but I made an absolute dogs breakfast of it... so I dropped all these off at the LAQ today. Naughty? Yes. At least this way I know they'll be finished in time for the babies arrivals! One of these quilts will be heading to the UK, two will stay in Wellington and the last will head to Auckland (a little belated though - that baby arrived in February!).

Tonight I plan to finish up another quilt started long ago... I can't help but ask myself why on earth I procrastinate for so long?! Oh well! Better now than never!Larahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01042439506901561443noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1230364353761412982.post-76302286618437745472012-06-05T08:35:00.001+12:002012-06-05T08:35:17.497+12:00Bliss in Patches - A Finish! When I first started this blog back in 2009, I hoped that an online journal of my quilty projects would keep me task focused and would help me see as many finishes as starts...

Of course, if you've been hanging around here for a while, you'll know that's not often the case. But, strangely, this year has been about finishing the unfinished and working through my stash. Perhaps it's my rather large mortgage which prohibits fabric purchases that has seen a positive result in me finishing up projects of long ago or using fabric that's been sitting around for some time.

So far this year, I have finished 6 quilts, with another 5 waiting to be quilted and another quilt top nearing completion! Wowsers. Here's my most recent finish

Last year in February, I'd planned to use this Bliss jelly roll for something else. But, after attempting to make just one block, I set it aside. Then in June, I decided to make a 9 patch quilt - Bliss in Patches. After running out of white, the quilt blocks sat unloved for some time. Finally in January this year, the quilt top was finished and sat patiently in the wardrobe waiting to be quilted.

This quilt was made with a jelly roll of Bliss and a jelly roll of Moda white. The backing is a coordinating flannel print from the Bliss range. I wasn't "feeling" the quilt until I finished sewing the binding on... it was feeling a bit too pink... but the aqua binding is perfect and this quilt is so delightful to snuggle under.

I've been finishing up some other projects to and using up some of stash that I've had for years! Now, that I've located the camera and the charger, expect to see more posts :)
Where has the time gone? Oh yes, that's right - it went into packing, cleaning, painting, moving, unpacking, cleaning, gardening, children, birthdays, parties, trips here, trips there...

The last few months have certainly been busy. We've been in our new home a little over two months and we are loving it. Our little Gus turned 3 at the start of April, and almost overnight he turned into a real little boy - no longer a baby at all. Oliver starts school in 4 months so we've been visiting schools, reading Ministry reports and trying to figure out an impending new schedule. I'll be changing up my hours at work a little so that we can accommodate the new drop off and pick up times that come with schooling.

I've also been doing some sewing. It took me a month or so after we moved in here to find energy to even think about sewing, but this past month I have been enjoying finishing old quilts and starting new ones. Innocent Crush is a new quilt top finish. I am yet to uncover our camera, so in the meantime the pictures will be via instagram :)

Here's hoping I can get back into the swing of blogging. Wishing you all a fabulous day!
Larahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01042439506901561443noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1230364353761412982.post-5365006894345659032012-02-18T08:41:00.000+13:002012-02-18T08:41:34.364+13:00The Hunting is Finally Over! Some of you who have been reading my blog for a while will know that for the best part of the last year we have been house hunting. At the start of last year we intended to move to Auckland and spent the first 6 months house huting up there - with no success. After a 3 month break over the winter, we began house hunting here in Wellington after the DH changed roles and began spending all his time in the South Island.

We came close a few times but always missed out to others with more money to spend. A few weeks ago though on a summery Wellington day we popped in to view a home in our neighbourhood after work. Everything about the house was pefect and more. Except the agent anticipated that the property would sell just outside our price range. Slightly disheartened we didn't talk anymore about the property. The following day the DH went to the South Island for work and in the late afternoon the agent called to let us know that they had put a deadline on offers - the following day at 5pm.

We decided to give it a go all the same, encouraged by the agent when I asked if it was worthwhile given the amount we would be offering. And within half an hour of signing the offer, we got a call to say the place was ours!

So here is our new home...

The kitchen needs a little work eventually. It will be nice to put our own mark on the house :) We move in less than 3 weeks so we are knee deep in boxes. Before we move in we intend to paint the blue room. I'm off to get paint swatches today!

It's extrememly exciting! I am anxious at the same time. This will be a huge financial adjustment for us. There won't be a lot of fabric buying happening now! Nor will be able to use the LAQ without saving first! This will of course cramp the size of my projects... so I am thinking that there will be lots of smaller projects made around here. Cushions, baby quilts etc.

So there you go! Our new house! Our first house! Happy sewing everyone.
Larahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01042439506901561443noreply@blogger.com16tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1230364353761412982.post-78513821788029858692012-02-14T20:04:00.000+13:002012-02-14T20:04:07.499+13:00Hearts for ChristchurchA while ago I posted about some WIP's that had been lying around unfinished. I was going to send them to Cat to finish and donate to Christchurch. Then after meeting Cat in person for dinner last year I learned that in most cases she was finishing the quilts off herself or funding to have them finished. I felt a bit guilty for offloading my WIP's and knowing that they'd need batting, backing and binding fabric too.

I thought it would be much nicer to send finished quilts to Cat instead. That way she could bundle them up and send them off to their new homes to be loved. I purchased a cute backing print, coordinating binding print and my favourite cotton/bamboo mix batting and finally finished up the Sherbet Pips DNP. The LAQ quilted an all over loopy heart pattern in pink. It's very sweet. Hopefully not too sweet.
Here it is all finished and ready to be posted...
There's nothing like a blog to keep you honest. I started this quilt in January 2010. Embarrassingly it's been sitting around for that long! It didn't take too long to piece the backing. I chose my favourite all over quilting and used the last of my chai chai snips to bind the quilt. This one is a lovely lap size and I thought it would suit any female of any age. Hopefully!

I hope that these two quilts will go to lovely people and help provide them a little comfort. Aftershocks keep affecting Christchurch and it will be some time before their beautiful city is rebuilt. I am so happy to have sent Cat finished quilts! It feels so good to have crossed these off the list!

I also finished up the third little quilt that I had posted about but this one managed to make it's way onto our couch... Poor Oliver had a few home days a couple of weeks ago after having a nasty cough for some time. Turns out he had whooping cough. Which was subsequently followed by Fifth Disease. Poor little man. Anyhow, I started making this quilt for him last April after he'd asked me desperately for a new quilt. I think he'd been feeling a bit left out as Gus had just got his new postage stamp quilt. Oliver helped to pick out his favourite prints and so when he found it folded on the chair he naturally assumed it was for him. I didn't have the heart to tell him I'd planned to send it elsewhere. I thought I'd just try finish up another for Christchurch instead. Win win.
These 5 lovely quilts are all off at the Long Arm Quilter! From bottom to top... Gus' Swoon Quilt, I Spy Chain Reaction quilt, ButterCup Sweet 16 quilt, Sherbet Pips DNP baby quilt and Wonderland Jelly Filled quilt. Most were started and made last year (except the Wonderland quilt which was started in January 2010!).

I will be pleased to have these all finished! Now to finish the Bliss quilt and a few others that have been lurking around for much too long to!Larahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01042439506901561443noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1230364353761412982.post-16776010167226967092012-01-09T19:12:00.000+13:002012-01-09T19:12:59.524+13:00Swoon - Complete!

Any motivation and encouragement to finish up some works in progress is always greatly needed and appreciated. So I am linking up with the Finish-A-Long hosted by a new to me blogger Rhonda of 'quilter in the gap'.

This quarter I *need* to finish up Gus' Children at Play Swoon quilt... His third birthday is on the 1st April so it would be good to have this finished by then!

And I'd like to finish the Bliss in Patches quilt too... This quilt will have a nice flannel backing and I'd like it to be ready in time for the cooler weather.

So that's my two projects I'd really like to finish this quarter. I am only posting two (although there are many more that need finishing) so that I can keep this achievable!

Stay tuned for progress!Larahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01042439506901561443noreply@blogger.com9tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1230364353761412982.post-19999027829629830902012-01-03T20:24:00.000+13:002012-01-03T20:24:15.811+13:00Hello 2012!
In the course of a year, many things can change. Some good, some bad, much indifferent. I am hoping that this will be a year for mainly good changes. This year we *will* buy our first home (positive thinking!), Gus will turn 3 and graduate to the 'big kids side' at Daycare and Oliver will start school in September. All big changes. Good changes. Bittersweet changes.

Almost a year to the day (366 days in fact) we took the boys to Staglands and today we took the boys again... Here's a quick snapshot of how much the boys have grown over the year. Unintentionally most of the photos taken just happened to be the same as the year prior...
Also need to decorate our ginger bread house with the kids on Saturday, decorate and bake the ham and build a bike! Hope you're feeling organised and ready to celebrate. This will probably be my last post until after Christmas, so wishing you a very Merry Christmas! May you have a lovely day with family and friends!
Larahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01042439506901561443noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1230364353761412982.post-5435533407610797022011-12-11T10:41:00.000+13:002011-12-11T10:41:02.451+13:00Santa's Direct ReportsLast week the boys Daycare had their annual Christmas party. It's always a great opportunity to see the boys playing with their friends and to chat to other parents. Each year some poor father dons a Santa suit and sits in the sun handing out gifts to the children. This year Wellington had an unusually hot day so poor Santa must have really been feeling the heat!

On the way home, Oliver piped up in the back seat "That wasn't the real Santa was it?"
Me: "what do you mean Oliver?"
Oliver: "that wasn't the real Santa. Under his white beard was a black beard."
Me: "that was very observant of you Oliver. No, that wasn't the real Santa. At this time of year Santa is so busy finalizing all the gifts, reading all the letters from the children and reviewing the naughty and nice list. He gets lots of invitations to Christmas parties, but he can't go to them all. So he picks one of his special helpers to attend the party for him."
Oliver: "oh. Ok."
Me: "just don't tell the other children ok?"
Oliver: "ok."

I can see this Santa gig might not last as long as I had hoped. Last year he wanted to know why such-and-such from daycare had got gifts because surely they would have been on Santa's naughty list...

I've been working hard on finishing up some more little Christmas presents. I will hopefully post about these later today :) only two weeks until Christmas day! Hope you are finding your christmas spirit and enjoying the festive season!Larahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01042439506901561443noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1230364353761412982.post-2634059648251455692011-11-27T20:04:00.000+13:002011-11-27T20:04:21.819+13:00Christmas Crafting! It's officially less than a month to Christmas. Let the countdown begin :) The Christmas Tree is up... a little early yes... but I needed an activity to keep the kids busy and entertained before they drove me up the wall. My poor DH has been working most weekends all weekend.

Introducing Yuri - an Ooshka Babushka Boy.

It's been some time since I made something that wasn't a quilt... I intend to give one of these as a Christmas gift. Yuri's not quite perfect but gave me an opportunity to perfect my efforts... Fortunately the boys loved him all the same. He's currently capeless but I am hoping to add that to him this week.

I plan to use some AJ fabric to make an Alexy for someone little and special. Just waiting on more face panels to arrive :)

You can order an Ooshka Boy here. There are girl Ooshkas too! So sweet!

I also have been making buttons, magnets and badges with my new i-top. Actually I bought the i-top MONTHS ago but it only made it out of the packaging last week. I also made a wee FMF coaster and a wee green log cabin pin cushion.

Here's a sneaky peek of something delightful winging it's way to someone...

And here's a pic of my Mystery Giveaway that Michelle won at the start of the month...
I was given some needles like those above in the pic and they are the best! So much so I've bought a few to add to Christmas pressies for crafty friends! Thanks Georgia for putting me on to them to begin with.

I've got a few more things I am hoping to make in time for Christmas too! How are you going with your Christmas projects and shopping?Larahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01042439506901561443noreply@blogger.com7tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1230364353761412982.post-21117242263078684642011-11-19T15:49:00.002+13:002011-11-26T17:57:45.300+13:00A Little Help Needed From My Friends in the USADear Friends in the USA,

I was hoping to order the boys some clothes from Osh Kosh online... but they do not ship internationally. I was wondering if you might be willing for me to ship the goods to you, and then ship them to me for which I'd paypal you the shipping money and a little extra to thank you for your time?

Please leave me a comment if you'd be able to help and thanking you in advance,
