Rarely seen in Wellington...
in the last 24 hours our yard has been transformed into
a winter wonderland.
Causing post delays (damn I'll have to wait a little longer for some recent purchases),
closures of daycare(s), schools and roads.
Thankfully we have plenty of food and the warmth of the heat pump.
All that's left to do is enjoy the snow while it lasts!
I've been contemplating sticking up the Christmas tree. Just because.
It's meant to be here for the week!
At first I thought this was a joke, since I am writing on my blog "things I will miss about summer" and then I remembered you are in NZ! Too funny.
ReplyDeleteSeriously?! That's awesome - I'd love the kids to experience snowfall.
ReplyDeleteWOW that is some serious snow for Wellington - check out our Auckland back yard http://catalinanz.blogspot.com/2011/08/its-auckland-winter-wonderland.html
ReplyDeleteIsn't so pretty and fun for the kids to experience. I was in Auckland today and there were snow flurries in different parts. Crazy!
ReplyDeleteYay - I must contact little sis!
ReplyDeleteYou should see the snow at our house, it's incredible. Unfortunately I sprained my ankle in it last night so now am on the sofa!!! Funny you should say about the Christmas tree, I had exactly that same thought myself!!
ReplyDeleteI am soooooo jealous right now. I would love to be bundled up, but am suffering in this 100+ weather we are having in Texas, US. Love the snow pics! Stay safe and warm.
