Nicey Jane
I hate to disappoint but this was all the fabric I managed to buy while in the USA. 20 fat quarters of Nicey Jane by Heather Bailey. I only managed to make it to one quilt store and our taxi driver had no idea where Jo Ann's was. In all our driving and walking around, I didn't even see a Target or an Ikea!! Hopefully next time I'll manage to buy more :) but in the meantime I think these are destined for a Windmill quilt. Or perhaps a Wonky Log quilt. Thoughts? Suggestions?

Nicey Jane is an absolute fave of mine! I'm partial to wonkiness, but I love a pinwheel or two!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful fabric selection!
ReplyDeleteLovely selection! I'm slowly building my collection as it has become one of my favorites. :) Like Dee, I think it would look great in a pinwheel quilt paired with some solids.
ReplyDeleteI think you did well Lara. Love this Heather Bailey line and think it would be perfect in a pinwheel quilt. When I was over there I walked straight past the Joann's store not quite realising what it was. Also I had the girls with me so was trying to keep them happy by promising to take them to 'Toyworld' just a bit further down the street. Could kick myself now!
ReplyDeleteWelcome home! Sorry you didn't get to more spots, but you did score some lovely fabric. Boy, you'd think taxi drivers would know their city a bit better, wouldn't you? Grrr!
ReplyDeleteGlad you're home, though, Lara and I bet the boys were so happy to see you!
these are a beautiful find...the windmill would be pretty but so would a log cabin. i am afraid i am no help am i? they look so pretty.
ReplyDeleteOh great fabrics, and if thats all you could find you chose well. i think a windmill quilt,
ReplyDeleteYou named three of my favorite stores in that small post, Ikea, Target and Joann's!! If you had mentioned Borders and Whole Foods that would pretty much be the summery of where I spend most of my money!! Glad you made it back safe! Thanks again for my little gift! It was a nice welcome home present for me to find when we got back from our trip to DC!
