Here's a few of my favourites...
Bot Camp Twin quilts for Ollie... you should see how big he is against these quilts now. *sob* (2009)
Gus' winter I-Spy quilt (2010)
A gift... but still one of my most favourite quilts of all time. (2010)
A crafty exchange - 1 quilt for 2 gorgeous knitted jackets for our wedding... (2010). This quilt was a challenge for me.... working with fabrics and a design somebody else picked... but actually once the quilt was finished, I loved it. A lot. I still don't know why I haven't made another like it already?!
Gus' Philatelic Socitey quilt - I still have a love hate relationship with this quilt. Sometimes I love it. Sometimes I hate it. I think it has something to do with those 1200 seams... (2011)
Strawberry Triangles - a Christmas gift for the MIL. (2011)
Arcadia for John. I love Arcadia a bunch. Simple but definitely a favourite. (2011)
Gus' Swoon....
(2012)
Bliss in Patches (2012)
There have been a bunch of other quilts I have loved... and I hope that the next 3 years brings a bunch more too! In honour of 3 years of posting, I am holding a wee giveaway... Leave a comment on this post for a special giveaway -because 3 is the magic number (well according to De La Sol anyway)... I will update this post shortly with a picture of the loot to be won... but don't let that stop you from commenting in the meantime :) I am just not organised enough! There's ways to increase your chances too...
- Leave a comment for a chance to enter the giveaway (telling me about your most favourite quilt or how long you've been quilting and how many quilts you've made during that time).
- Become a follower for a second chance to enter the giveaway. If you're already a follower, you already have two chances. Just leave me a comment telling me :)
- Blog about the giveaway for third chance to enter the giveaway.
Good luck!

I started quilting in January, 2011. My favorite quilt that I have made so far is the one that I won blocks from the January 2012 block lotto. You can see a recent pic of it on the Block Lotto site and on my blog this week. It's my most modern quilt I have made. I see several modern quilts in my future. It is called the Eclipse block. On each block I embroidered the name of the person that made the block and where they lived. You can see details here: http://new2quilting.blogspot.com/2012/03/eclipse-block-lotto-quilt-finished.html
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Lara on both your blog anniversary and all those quilts. You are so productive for a busy working Mum!

ReplyDeleteI think my favorite quilt is the bargello I did. I just love the colors and how it turned out. And, I had put off doing it because I thought it was more difficult than it really is! There is a picture here:

ReplyDeleteCongrats on 3 years! love your quilts... beautiful!
ReplyDeleteCongrats others years! Ive been quilting since the beginning of 2011. Most of my finished projects have been jelly roll race quilts...though I actually have more WIPs at this point than actual, finished quilts!
ReplyDeleteI follow you, too. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeletemy favorite quilt is usually the last one I made as my skills improve with each quilt. Thanks for celebrating with a giveaway.

ReplyDeleteHi Lara!
ReplyDeleteThree years - way to go. You are a prolific quilter!
I've been quilting for about 9 years already, but sewing since I was a teen. It's in my blood!
Love reading your blog!
I am a follower already!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the trip down memory lane... I am remembering your quilts since 2 years ago! My quilting experience goes back 20 years (give or take)and I have made quite a few quilts in that time! My most favorite is an applique quilt that I made for myself, which took almost 3 years to finish (between other projects!)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on 3 great years of blogging... looking forward to many more!
ReplyDeleteWow, you have been very productive, and all the while writing a blog for 3 years! I loved seeing the quilt photos, and in a group -- it made me realize how you use white as a unifying element in many of them.
ReplyDeleteI am a happy regular follower!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like it has been a busy three years! Thanks for the chance.
ReplyDeleteI'm also a follower, a lurking follower.....:)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! I have been quilting about five years but I've only finished five full size quilts in that time, and about the same number of baby quilts. You've been quite prolific!
ReplyDeleteAnd I am a follower.
ReplyDeleteHi Lara, a great range of quilts, you really should give yourself a pat on the back! Congratulations on three years of blogging!
ReplyDeleteHugs
You're awesome! In about three years that I've been sewing I've made 3 quilts! I'm in the middle of my fourth :).
ReplyDeleteI follow your blog :)
ReplyDelete35 quilts is impressive. I have been quilting for 10 years now and have slowed down to an average of three quilts a year. That must mean I am almost a year from 35.
ReplyDeleteGreat De la Soul song. 3 is a magic number for Massive Attack too.
35 quilts in 3 years? Awesome. And we don't count the cost, do we? We count the enjoyment of an heirloom, and who can put a price on that? I've been quilting since - hmmm - 1992? Maybe? And I have no idea how many quilts I've made. I made 9 last year, and 6 so far this year, so that's a start. Congratulations on your 3 year blogiversary!
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm a follower!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite quilt is one that my grandmother gave me before she died; it was made by her mother. It's got a yellow background, with colorful tulips and was made in the 20's or 30's. I will always treasure it!
ReplyDeleteI'm already a follower! Thanks!!
ReplyDeleteGreat quilts!
ReplyDeleteMy favourite quilt is always the one I am making!!!
Follower!
ReplyDeleteNow I read this post days ago, but I got distracted by your gorgeous quilts and had to go and buy some more Wee Play on etsy!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on 3 years blogging!
My favourite quilt is an ongoing hexagon quilt that involves the charms you sent me swap :)
So that last comment didn't even make sense *in a swap*
ReplyDeleteI'm a follower by the way :)
I love your cot quilt. I am pretty much a beginner as I only started working with fabric this year after years of cross stitch. My quilts are quite small right now until I become more confident, and I struggle with binding. Thank you for offering the giveaway.

Congratulations on 3 years - the time does fly fast. All of your quilts are lovely. I don't think I have a favorite quilt - it changes day to day.
