Pitter Patter of Paws

Meet Pepper. She'll be joining our little family in < 3 weeks.  I can not wait :) In fact, I am definitely more excited than the boys!! Expect to see lots of puppy photos in the coming weeks!

And for those enquiring minds, Pepper is an English Pointer. In this picture she's 5 weeks old. She was the sweetest, quietest pup in her litter. Very gentle and calm which is exactly why I picked her!

Do you think it would be wrong to make the puppy a welcome home quilt? I think the DH might commit me if I did :) Oh, and for my readers with puppy experience, any puppy tips will be gratefully received! I feel like a new parent again!

  1. Aw what a sweetie... I would be totally smitten too if she were mine! I think she needs her own quilt to make her feel like part of the family...:O)

  4. She's so cute! I'd definitely make her a quilt - I made one for mine. Bea loves to sleep on the landing of our stairs and I realized that if I made a quilt that fit the space it wouldn't get dirty as quickly. Because boy are dogs ever dirty! And anything that cuts down on the vacuuming is great in my books. I highly suggest some of Aneela's puppy print for it.

And just remember, take her outside everything she wakes up, every time she eats, every time she looks at the door. It's not so much about training the puppy as training yourself!

  6. Eeeee!!!! So cute! I love her name. :-) I would make her a little quilt too - it is winter afterall. She might need a wheat bag to keep her warm as well.

  8. How lovely! Enjoy the puppy time (although house training and training in general will take a lot of time, but is worth it in the end). Any questions, I'd be happy to help so just write :-) How exciting and she looks adorable!

  10. You need to make a whole bed not just a quilt! Pepper is a real cute name for a puppy. I'm sure you will all have so much fun with her when she finally arrives. Your boys must be so excited.
