Work In Progress Parade - Asher's Quilt Part Two

Quilt top - done. Just need to quilt this little quilt and it'll be on it's merry way to it's new home. I am going to back this quilt in flannel to make it snuggly. Anything I should know about quilting flannel?

  1. Ahhhh, some of those fabrics look quite familiar to me now. ;-) (thankyou again!!!)

  2. The quilt top looks great!

Make sure you baste it really well (I pin baste.) Use your walking foot (of course.) Do you have quilting gloves? They work really well in spreading out the fabric as it goes under the foot so it doesn't pucker. Quilting with flannel is pretty much the same, except that the 'sandwich' is a little thicker.

Have fun and don't sweat the small stuff. If there is a tiny pucker you will not notice it after you wash and dry the quilt.
