I am a winner! And a giveaway!

It's been a while since I've been able to say that! I am a winner! I am the very lucky winner of the Jennifer Paganelli Dance with Me FQ's on the Old Red Barn Co Quilt Along on Flickr! I am usually not a lucky person - so to win this giveaway was very exciting!

So... in honour of my win I thought I'd host a wee giveaway too! What's up for grabs? One Sweet by Urban Chicks Charm Pack and a 1/2 yard of Bubblegum Candy Stripe. I'll also include a few extra little surprises for the lucky winner!

As you can see I am no photographer - sorry for the blurry pic!

How to enter? Leave a comment with your all time fabric range and what you've made with it (or if it's still in your stash). I'll draw a winner on Sunday 8th November!

  1. Up until recently, I haven't bought whole groups of fabric, or even most of a line. I usually shop more in colors or textures. I do have quite a bit of Heather Ross Mendocino that I haven't started using yet, but I foresee a few projects being made with it. I also love wildwood with all the citrus yellows and greens. And I recently splurged on about 10 pieces of the Authentic line by Sweetwater for Moda. Thanks for spreading the fabric love.

  2. Congratulations Lara!!! And now your doing a giveaway. Cool. I think my favourite line would have to be Heather Bailey Pop Garden. I made an Amy Butler bag for my daughter using some I bought last year. I still have enough to make a quilt one day though.

  3. Wow, how generous spreading the fabric love about!! My favourite range......hmm. I have to say I adore Heather Ross's Lightning Bugs but I have *none* of it. It's just so expensive now - I made do with some lovely Mendocino that had been in part made into a table runner.

  4. Oooh Lara, you are too kind! I just LOVE Sweet and have a little bit in my stash as I am planning a 30's-50's feedsack, sorta thing, quilt and this would SO go with that!!

Congratulations on your win on the ORBC! Paganelli another favourite of mine... I also just LOVE wonderland (by momo, have the fabric, have the pattern, not had the time) and Arcadia (have the fabric... found a pattern but not enough fabric! and also no time yet...). Of the new ranges I really like Jessica Levitt's Timber for Wyndham and Tula Pink's new Plume.

That's enough to be getting on with I think.. as I love so many lines!

Catherine, I also love Pop Garden. My ORBC quilt was totally Pop Garden and Bijoux. Unfortunately nothing left there.... but happy with my quilt!

  5. Oh my ... I have been quilting since June with the first ORB quiltalong and I don't quite have a fabric range yet. BUT.... I did just buy some munki munki farmer's market fabric on ebay. I don't know what I'm doing with it yet but I feel like I'm part of the gang now!

I can't wait to make more quilts and I'm getting to be quite the fabric addict. My next one is with all michael miller fabric.

    Thanks for the fun giveaway!!

  6. I think my favorite fabric ever is Tula Pink's Neptune. I have 2 charms, a layer cake, a jelly roll and a bit of yardage of it, along with a solid aqua that is awaiting being made into 2 different quilty things, a Candy Bar Road quilt and a Whirlygiggle quilt/runner. I love sea turtles and the little submarines just crack me UP! Fabric that makes me love and laugh = favorites!

So nice of you to pass on the quilty generosity, Lara!

  9. Oh, that Sweet line is so, well, sweet!! I think the line that has me drooling is Heather Bailey's Pop Garden and Bijoux. I'm waiting on an order right now to do a quilt for a friend's 40th bday. It's not til next August, so I'm thinking ahead ;-) I also am quite fond of Sandi Henderson's Farmers Market line. I made skirts for my daughters from that. I may have to order some more of that soon!!

  10. Congrats Lara and thanks for paying it forward!:)

I'm in the same boat as BailyGirl5 and just been doing this since June and I really don't follow if something is in a fabric range, I just get what I like. But I do have to say that the Flea Market Fancy is pretty "sweet"!:)

By the way, love your blog title!

  13. My all-time fave collection is Freshcut by Heather Bailey. I've made lots of stuff with it...matching peasant tops & jeans outfits for my daughters, a dress, 2 quilts, a doll quilt...and I've hoarded about 30-40 yds of it so I'll be able to sew with it forever! lol

  14. oh...to pick just one fabric collection... i did buy the most i've ever bought from a collection of HR's mendocino in orange/brown. haven't used it just yet though. i'm hoarding it until "just the right" project.

congrats on your win and kudos for paying it forward!

  15. Congratulations on your win!!

I've just recently started buying charm packs. They are just so darn cute and useful how could I not buy them? I've been buying mostly pinks lately but like to find some nice boy packs.

  16. Hi Lara Congrats on your win and thanks for the giveaway. I have a good sized stash but never noticed specific designers until recently except for Kaffe Fasset because I attended one of his lectures. Because of blogging I have "discovered" designers and like jennifer paganelli, maria horner, sandi henderson and jane sussaman.

  17. I don't have a whole line or most of one. I usually buy what strikes my fancy at the moment. I have some fabric that I won't use because I just like to look/pet it. ORBQA may change that though.

  18. I'm still in love with Sandi Henderson's Ginger Blossoms. I'm so glad I made a quilt with it!

  19. Okay, so technically I haven't purchased any, but I have been coveting Cogsmo Cricket. I totally want to make matching quilts for my boys bunk beds with it.

  20. I must not be a REAL quilter...I am so cheap and can't pay too much for fabric!!! BUT...my favorite fabric used, and yet to use...I bought some sheets a long time ago...they are pin-stripe...but a beautiful grey/brown sort of color. I used it to back a quilt I made with some scraps my Grandma gave me that she had started in making a scrappy quilt, and I got to finish it...anyway..that has been my fav...and I still have scraps that are looking for a place in one of my many projects!
I hope to win! I think those colors would look great in the quilt I PLAN to make for my oldest daughter!

  21. This is so great of you. I am currently waiting for Andalucia fabric by Patti Young. Don't know what I will do with it yet, but it called to me. I may make 2 quilts in this 4th round of ORB quiltalong.

  22. I am on the lookout for the perfect charm pack to do a round robin bee in January and love this one, and free fabric is almost always perfect in some way or another.

  23. Congrats on your win. I'm fairly new to quilting so haven't really got an all time fabric range choice. I did just use Mary Engelbert's The Caroler by MOda to make a Xmas quilt...still need to do the backing, but it's for me.

  24. Hmmm, my all time favorite fabrics, that's a tough one. I adore Mezzanine by Patty Young. And I am completely, thoroughly, obsessed right now with Mill House Inn from Fig Tree Quilts. Yummy!

  25. Oh, it is so hard to choose: Amy Butler's Lotus, HR Lightning Bugs and Westhill and of course, FMF. Thanks for the great give-away!

  26. Eek, my all-time fabric range? Thus far, it's a toss-up between MoMo's Wonderland and Sandy Gervais's Tranquility--totally different, but I love them both. I'm currently in the hoarding stage with both of these, but I have grand plans for both. Just as soon as the holidays are over!

What a sweet (oops, punny, sorry!) give-away this is--I see baby quilt written all over this! Thanks for the opportunity!

  27. Congrats on the win! Nice to pay it forwardf! My most recent collection has been Modas Authentic! I think I will do a wallhanging for my studio. My biggest stash of one designer is Kaffe Fassett! I just love his use of color!

  28. I've fallen in love with lots of them, but really don't have the budget for any of them! I bought several prints from Heather Ross's Lightning Bugs and Other Mysteries and found some more generic fabrics to coordinate, and made the rail fence quilt from Old Red Barn Co's first quilt along. The quilt is simple enough, and WILDly colored, and I love love love it! Thanks for the chance at your giveaway :)

  30. How fun to pass the good luck around. I right now am having fun with charm packs. Seeing how many things I do with them. I love just about any color way and designer. Having so much fun experimenting and playing.

  31. Congratulations Lara!!! Lucky girl! I just started quilting in July, but I have bought Michael Miller's fabrics, Jackie Shapiro, Anna Griffin, but my favorite is Tula Pink's NEST Jelly roll. I actually need to get one more Jelly Roll to finish a wonky log quilt I started.

    Thanks for sharing the love!

  32. I don't think I have an all-time favourite line although I do love Daisy Chain from Amy Butler (I have some waiting in my stash to be made into a quilt), but I'm in love with Tula Pink (I have a lot of that waiting to be used) and Heather Bailey.

  33. Congrats on your win! I think my favorite is Lizzy House's Red Letter Day. I love how bright and cheerful it is :) I have some that I'm waiting for the perfect quilt to make with it. I also love the quilts you made for your boys - my little one might even trade in his beloved puppy for one like that.

  34. Congrats on the win! Well, I love anything that 3 Sisters have come out with and am starting to have an eye for Michael Miller. And of course I love Mary E.! I'm still in the process of trying to finish my wonky log cabin quilt with the ORB quilt along (using Mary E.).
Thanks for a chance at a great giveaway!
